“O God, you are my God; early will I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh longs for you in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Psalm 63:1

Observation

King David was crying out to God as he continually was chased by his enemies. Despite his circumstances King David remained hungry for God. Even in times of stressful circumstances, when God may seem far away we must remember to continually cry out to Him because he is our savior.

Application

There are times in my life when in my strength I can no longer make it. I need to follow King David’s example and continue to cry out to the Lord withh a passion to know Him. The true test of my love for God doesn’t come during the good times, but when I am walking through challenges. My love and reliance on God need to be tested in order to be solidified.

Prayer

Father, help me to follow King David’s example. Let my passion to know you surpass anything my circumstances may throw at me. Thank you for being faithful to me and help my faithfulness and love for you continue to grow.
